Welcome to The Maze Online
Many people recognise the importance of 'Safe Space' for Children on The Autistic Spectrum,
a place where they feel safe to share their anxieties, have timeout and be themselves, a
place where no one makes judgements about who they are or how they live.
Everyone needs a safe space. The Maze is a safe space for parents.

The Maze is managed and staffed by volunteers, all of whom have family members on The
Autistic Spectrum
. (Please note that because we are ALL volunteers, sometimes schedules
have to be changed with very short notice due to home and  family emergencies.)
Volunteers at The Maze give their time and expertise freely and willingly because they care
about you, as a parent of a child on the Autistic Spectrum.

At The Maze our mission is to empower parents, through positive support and training to
recognise their strengths and increase their confidence, which in turn will strengthen their
relationships with their children and promote positive parenting.

At The Maze we are also dedicated to increasing the awareness of autism in the community
as we believe that in the long term this will have a positive effect for the families we work
with.

You may have heard that funding cuts have
threatened the future of The Maze. We are
pleased to report that we have secured
funding from Lloyds TSB Foundation which
enables to remain open.  Sainsbury's
Arnold have also adopted The Maze as their
charity of the year which will assist us to
continue our work.
The Trustees continue to develop funding
strategies to secure the long term future of
the charity.
